Description

Title: O Megami, Christa! (Ah My Goddess, Christa!)
Media: Paint Tool Sai
Series: Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)

There was a scene when Titan Annie attacked the 57th Expedition, and Jean lost his horse and Christa came to save them. And Armin, (her twin) XD said "GOD?!" And Jean said "Ah GODDESS!" and then Reiner said: "I wanna marry her!" (Get in line after Ymir XD)...

And this was inspired by that scene. XD Christa really looks like Armin in Drag. I actually painted this halfway thinking I was doing Armin, a little mistake with Christa and I would have done armin. But her hair is fab!

Time on this is 1:39 something painting the whole thing. I actually recorded it and will upload to Youtube after I edit. (hopefully I could speed it up)... I know I still suck. any advise? Constructive Criticism please

Hello, I'm not yet good with painting/drawing, but I'll try to give a few suggestions that can help you :3

In this picture, I think you already have sense of color and tonal values. It's good that the colors you chose are not bland, and you did not choose to work on the value of a particular color. Another thing is I also like the texture that you created on her hair. It made it look quite natural flowing.

Now for the points to consider, anatomy is one. The impact of the picture will improve if these are kept in check. An example would be the placing of the lips and the balance of the eyes. The next if the use of soft and hard brushes. Good control of these will help make the image more 3D-ish, since I think you are going for lineless coloring here. I notice that too much soft brushes were used on Christa's clothes, what I suggest is to use hard brushes to emphasize the break on the folds, and then use soft ones on the shadows.

I hope that helped. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/> Keep on making art <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
